Finding your perfect press-on nail size is the secret to a flawless, natural-looking manicure that lasts. Whether you’re new to press-ons or just looking to order your first custom set, getting your sizes right ensures a comfortable fit and beautiful look. Here’s how to do it step-by-step!

Step 1: Gather What You’ll Need

Before measuring, make sure you have:

  • A soft measuring tape or a small strip of paper

  • A pen or fine marker

  • A ruler with millimeter (mm) measurements

  • Good lighting

Tip: If you ordered a sizing kit from your favorite nail brand, that’s the easiest method—just skip straight to Step 4.

Step 2: Measure Across the Widest Part of Each Nail

If you’re using paper:

  1. Cut a thin strip (around 1 cm wide).

  2. Lay it across the widest part of your natural nail bed (usually near the tip of the nail).

  3. Mark where each side of your nail meets the paper.

  4. Match it against your ruler and note the measurement in millimeters.

Note: Measure in millimeters ONLY. converting your measurements from cm or inches to mm will mess up your measurements.

Do this for all ten nails—yes, even if some fingers look the same! Small differences can change the fit.

Step 3: Match Your Sizes to Nail Numbers

Compare your mm measurements to the our sizing chart. We offer extra small to large sizes!
If your measurement is between two sizes, always choose the larger one—it’s easier to file down a press-on than stretch it!

Step 4: Record and Save Your Sizes

Write your sizes from thumb to pinky for both hands. Many people have slightly different sizes on each side (like left thumb 2, right thumb 1). Once you’ve written them down, keep them somewhere safe—this makes future orders much faster.

Example:
Left hand: 2, 5, 4, 6, 9
Right hand: 1, 5, 4, 6, 9

Sizing your nails correctly is the key step that transforms press-ons from “temporary” to “tailored perfection.” Once you’ve got your measurements right, all that’s left to do is pick your dream designs!
